The name of this piece comes from English folklore. Long ago, the phenomenon of strange lights that flickered over peat bogs were explained as "Foolish Fire", "Will-o'-the Wisp", and "Jack-o'-the Lantern." It is written in the key of B minor, but weaves C Major into its mysterious harmonies, relentlessly driving the piece until the finish.
